You can stick, stand and hold your ground like most of us do but theres also nothing you can obtain when you do not budge from certain mindsets you have about things. Hence – play your ground and experiment with new things that may take you aback. There is nothing you will learn if you do not make that decision. I always stood to my ground about the decision to never cut my hair short. Well, you can say I played my ground and shaved it completely. Now I feel so confident of myself as this was my biggest insecurity and I actually really like my hair as it is continuously growing. And you know what? I plan to keep it short for a long long time. This has made me feel more confident about myself and my self esteem has really boosted up. I do not require others to even compliment me (which they do in abundance) because I feel that I am my biggest judge and know exactly what is good and what is not. My new hairdo has really been the cynosure of every eye. You must stand your ground but learn to play with it as well in order to change for the betterment and cope with our omnifarious 21st century culture.
About this look: This formal shirt by Tom Ford was added to my street style casual look as I wanted to incorporate formal wear into street style. I always try to add an element of casual into my formal looks, hence you shall rarely find me donning a completely formal look. I saw this playground in the Lodha Apartment vicinity of Hyderabad and had to shoot a look here. What better than this monochrome look to contrast the bursting colours of the playground with?
